Next week Kardtects will be attending the ASTRA trade show.  ASTRA is an acronym for American Specialty Toy Retailing Association, and holds a vision to “change the world through the power of play”.  Kardtects shares this vision with ASTRA, as we too believe the power of play is so very vital to a child’s growth.

ASTRA’s main mission is to build a dedicated community of professional retailers, manufacturers and sales representatives who are committed to providing children with top quality toys.  Toys which offer high play value.  The statement, ‘the more a toy does, the less a child does’ is understood, and the goal of ASTRA is to promote toys which provide children the best opportunity to use their own imaginations and creativities while playing.  This type of play is so beneficial to a child.

Providing this ‘Value of Play’ is an important element to the Kardtects Building Card system.  Kardtects believes getting back to basics holds such powerful rewards for children.  In a previous article, Inspiring Back to Basics Play with Kardtects Card Houses: The Values of Fun, we mention some of the incredible merits playing with Kardtects building cards offers.  Such rewards as improving fine-motor skills, enhancing spatial awareness, encouraging thinking, reasoning, focus, and patience, and igniting and supporting imaginations!  To name a few!

Toys are like building blocks to a child’s foundational growth, and we, as parents, want to encourage, guide, and provide children with great toys that can create the strongest foundations.  This is Kardtects passion, and mission, and we are so excited to be getting ready for the ASTRA show.  We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share Kardtects building cards with those at and coming to the ASTRA show.

We have experienced and witnessed the amazing benefits playing with Kardtects building cards has to offer. Our goal is to build awareness for the values found in back to basics play and share the fun of building Kardtects card houses!
