You might be wondering what does Bubble Wrap have to do with houses? Well a fun fact is that Bubble Wrap was originally invented to be used as wallpaper in houses. Now that would have been a fun (and noisy) home! Pop, Pop, Pop!
The inventors, Al Fielding and Marc Chavannes, wanted to create a different kind of wallpaper; one which had texture. What they came up with was something similar to today’s bubble wrap. Bubble wrap, however, didn’t sell very well as a new fangled wall covering, so they took a step back, re-designed it, and sold it as packing material- which turned out to be a huge success!
