The first steps to becoming a Master Kardtect (aka Card Architect) is learning how to build a card house using the Kardtects Square building card system.
It is a foundation for a limitless amount of card structures made from Kardtects cards.
The Kardtects Square is simple to build and sets anyone on a path to discovering the incredible world of card building!
\Watch the Video or read more below about how to build the Kardtects Square!
As the video above demonstrates, there are 3 simple steps.
- 1.STAND
- 2.LEAN
- 3.OVERHANG
Step one: STAND
Hold the top card and lean the side card against its corner. Both cards provide support for each other in order to stand. Remember, slightly LEAN the side card; don’t place the card straight up.
This Kardtects Lean is the KEY to building!
Step two: LEAN
LEAN a third card against the corner of the top card on the other side. Angle it slightly towards center, so the fourth card can LEAN against both corners of the side cards, completely a square.
*To assist in getting the knack of the LEAN and aid beginner builders, a card stand could be used. Place a card stand on the bottom center of the first card. Simply STAND top card and then LEAN the side card against its corner. The Third and Fourth Cards are placed as shown above.
IMPORTANT: ONLY ONE card stand should be used per level.
3.Step Three: OVERHANG
OVERHANG roof cards so cards rest on opposite tops of base square and hang over the edge. This method for placing roof cards allows space to build additional levels on top and strengthens the Kardtects Square.
It is a very important step to follow.
This placement of roof cards will create an inner square. This hole can either be left open or a card can be placed over top to cover it up.
That is it!
To build wider, simply repeat steps and add more ‘Kardtects Squares’ to the initial first. (no card stands are needed to go wider)
To go higher, simply repeat steps and add more ‘Kardtects Squares’ on top of the initial first. (another card stand can be used to build first square on each additional level)
Build 2, 4, or 7 Levels!
