The Grisroc Starter Set includes a total of 111 building cards. One hundred of those are the standard grey rock (grisroc) building cards which can be used to build any kind of card house or structure imagined.
The starter set also includes 11 collectible building cards with architectural features of a castle (one of which is an Ultra Rare building card). These cards are often used to build the notable, Grisroc Castle.
This particular castle is built using the Kardtects Square method. In episode one of the ‘How to Build a Card House series’, the Kardtects Square building method was demonstrated. The three easy steps of ‘STAND, LEAN, and OVERHANG’ were shown in this simple card building system.
Here it is:
To build the Grisroc Castle, a card architect adds additional ‘Kardtects Squares’ onto the initial first. Like shown:
The roof (using the step of OVERHANG), and then the higher levels are then added.

After the first level, 3 wide, is built, the video above shows how the other levels are added.
When baking a cake or building with Legos, it is realized there is a ‘recipe’ or ‘method’ to follow for best results. For example, Legos can’t just be stacked on top of each other, but are snapped together to build creations. Kardtects has simple methods to follow too. One of which is the Kardtects Square building system.
Repeating the Stand, Lean, and Overhang steps to create ‘Squares’ allows card architects to build incredible card houses and structures. The Grisroc Castle shown above is only one example.
