Kardtects knows how to build card towers. We’ve built a record breaking freestanding card tower of over 27 feet using Kardtects Building Cards (shown right while building) (UPDATE: Broke record again by building a card tower over 30 feet), so we can definitely show you how to build anything from a small to a large one.

Although building a card tower is definitely easier and faster using Kardtects Building Cards, the method used to build one is the same for whatever type of card you want to use. But why use the more slippery, smaller playing cards- which are so much more difficult to build with- when NOW there are building cards specifically designed for building fantastic card houses: Kardtects!

To build a tall card tower, one soaring over your head, Kardtects suggests beginning the foundation with what we call the T-Method.

Stand a card, and then LEAN a second card against its edge forming a T, like Shown:

Next, form more T’s, going around to create a CORE square. You can finish off the edges or decide to build a bigger base level, with more ‘Core squares’ and finish those edges off.  (Click More Images for step by step how to’s)

 

Then you just build the same construction on top, and tier in as you build higher, according to the size of the base. Kardtects likes to place a ‘Pillar’ on top (cards standing upright) to complete the card tower.

For a card tower using Kardtects Building Cards, a single Core base is strong enough to build 15 to 20 levels high (4-6 feet), and then on top of this base, a Kardtects Square Card Tower can be built, giving another 10-15 levels high. This can create a card tower over 10 feet within less than an hour. The side image of card tower is 12 levels with single core base, 10 levels of the Kardtects Square on top of that, and 1 pillar to give just over 7 feet.

The T-Method provides the strongest Core structure when building a card tower. That is what is used to beat records. The record for playing cards is 25’9 feet and took the person approx. 80 hours to do. The founder of Kardtects beat the height of the that record, building a card tower over 27 feet, in approx. 10 hours, beating also the time.

You can use the Kardtects Square to build Single Kardtects Square Tower. It’s great fun to build too! A couple high of single stacking Kardtects Squares are secure. It is only after around 10 that this type of card tower gets delicate.

It is a challenging game to see who can build the highest, and the fastest, building with just the Kardtects Square. Going over 20 levels is great……. 25 WOW! 30……hasn’t been done YET! CAN YOU BUILD 30 levels of stacking single Kardtects Square on top one another? The challenge is on!
