The Washington Monument is the world’s tallest stone structure and the world’s tallest obelisk. It stands 555 feet high. A fun fact about it is some visitors of this obelisk in Washington D.C. may notice the difference in shading to the marble about 150 feet up.
This is actually due to the construction of the monument being halted during the Civil War. When construction resumed, a different source for the marble was then used, and caused this variation of color.
The tallest Kardtects card tower had something similar happen. Building the record for the first time, more cards than usual were needed, and so for finishing the top, a different color of building card was used. As you can see in the image, the top is of a ‘white’ building card, while the bottom is grey.
The Kardtects card tower ended up being 104 levels high and over 30 feet high. Full story about building the card tower can be read here: Record high card tower
